Development: 3I've made changes to my album cover's design, and will move away from using a group photo of the artist. I've added outlines of a face to the Digipak, as I feel the style of the drawing matches the font of the album's present text, and the idea of a hollow identity aligns with the work of Digipaks by similar Hip Hop artists such as Black Eyed Peas.
First DraftI've designed a first draft for my Digipak cover. The text 'A hint of disconnection' is (in my personal opinion) an effective title for the album, considering it fits with what's going on in the picture, and also aligns directly with the music video itself (since the music video is essentially about how disconnected the world itself has become to all of the violence which is taking place in society).
Adjustment of DraftI've altered the color palette to the Digipak cover, as I found that shades of black and white felt too bland and non-eye- catching to a potential customer. In my personal opinion, a black background with highlights of blue and white felt more suitable in terms of attracting an audience.
Another Draft AdjustmentI altered the highlighted colors further, as I felt that dark blue blended in too well with the black background rather than standing out. I've changed the main color palette to bright blue and bright red. The album which contained Everlong also used this color palette, which is useful in my opinion as this conforms with blending in as a genuine Rock artist. I've added a hollow effect to "disconnection" in order to give a further feeling of disconnection, however I feel like the effect has made the text look distorted. I may change this according to how the printed copy of this panel looks.
