Final Inside Left Panel
Initial Planning for the Inside Left Panel
Planning for the Inside Left Panel has been relatively easy, as I already planned out what this panel would look like. After looking at various Digipaks such as the example on the right, I decided that I would have a dark background with an image that looks beautiful but doesn't stand out too much. This would be placed behind lyrics from Everlong (a song which I feel has very nice lyrics for a reader to focus their attention on), which would be arranged in a way that makes the Inside Left Panel feel like the viewer is reading a poem.

Stage 2 of Production
I've added a highlight of blue to the image, as now it fits with the color palette of the front panel (which is very important, as this entire Digipak needs to fit under one dominant color palette. The blue highlight has not been done in a way which is too distracting to the viewer, which is useful as I intend to keep the viewer's focus directed towards the lyrics (which I will place over the image soon enough).

Stage 3 of Production
I've chosen the lyrics which I will place over the image, it's not perfect yet but I will arrange the text and probably change the fonts as well, as the font looks too casual (in my personal opinion). The lyrics that I've chosen are all taken from Everlong, and from different parts of the song (so it doesn't look like I've blatantly copied a section of lyrics).

Stage 4/ FIRST DRAFT
Testing out different colors and reorganizing sentences
Within this, I've organized each of the sentences into a format in which they are all equally spaced, thus looking neater and easier to read. I've also changed the colors for the background rose, as I feel that the colors make the image look too dull. However by doing this, I have made the rose super highlighted, so the image now clashes with the text (in terms of standing out in order to grab the reader's focus. When looking at this in a larger size however, the clash in colors isn't as present as can be seen within the image on the right, rather the the brightness in both subjects means that the panel becomes much more eye-catching for the viewer.

Overhaul and Revamp
I felt that there was too much going on with the background image, so I removed the flowers entirely and created a new set of images. This consisted of adding two images of the same artwork, and adjusting them into a sequence in which a semi-transparent red image is placed behind, and a semi-transparent blue image is placed at the front. Blue has become the dominant color of my Digipak album, rather than red. I have also changed the lyrics from Everlong (following the change of my music video) towards a set of Lyrics from Fluorescent Adolescent (by Arctic Monkeys). Lastly, I added an image of soft lighting, enlarged it, and placed it behind all of the other layers within this panel. This gives the background image more life and overall makes the panel more visually appealing for the viewer. This inside left panel will be the final draft for my inside left panel.
