Final Spine
Brief Overview of Spine
I realised that within my planning for the Digipak, I forgot to include the Spine (which is a highly necessary section of the project). However, designing this was not difficult as there isn't much to add besides the theme colours of the album and the albums title. As can be seen within the spine, there is the name of the album, in en elegant calligraphy font, and two triangles that contain the head colours of the Digipak.
Spine Development 1
The first important section of designing the spine is within measuring its length, with a width of 10.584 mm and a height of 125.5 mm (the Spine's image has been flipped in order to take up less space within my page).
Spine Development 2
Secondly I developed the external aesthetics of my Spine, including eye-catching colours in order to grab the consumers attention and make the Spine of my Digipak look appealing.
Spine Development 3 - First Draft - Final Piece
Lastly within the essential development for my Spine, I included the title of my album in a font that I've used within multiple panels of my Digipak. I resized and adjusted the letter spacing of the font, so the title doesn't feel too compressed or too stretched, but covers enough area of the Spine for it to be noticed.
NOTE:
After seeing how this draft turned out, I feel that this image is satisfactory for how I wanted the Spine of my album to look. This Spine is neither too busy or un-eye-catching, and effectively conveys the style of my Digipak.
